She received her diploma in Education for Ministry (EFM) from the University of the South, School of Theology (Sewanee, Tennessee) in June 2020.
Joan has been active in most of the ministries at St. George’s over the years, including providing lay leadership for previous Incumbents as a Warden and Parish Council member. In particular, Joan has led music worship groups and helped to develop a discipleship program for the parish.
Joan worked in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors in the roles of Executive Assistant and Fund Developer for over twenty years before retiring in 2019 to pursue her vocation in ministry. She and her husband David are happy to be near their two daughters and two granddaughters who also live in Calgary.
