Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! (Psalm 150:6)
Glory and praise be to God for our wonderful event last Sunday. We had 142 people at worship. And at the Stampede Breakfast we served well over 300 plates of food to about 275 people. Though a huge amount of food was bought and prepared, we still ran out of almost everything: beans, sausages, forks, plates, napkins – it was the greatest outcome we could have envisioned!
And the way God made it all happen was through the hands and hearts and minds of a huge crowd of dedicated volunteers. Boy, did they do a magnificent job! 34 St. George’s parishioners signed up and showed up to help – cooking, serving, flipping, running food, setting up, tearing down, washing up, bringing bales of hay from across the province. And then there was the music, which really made it a party.
A huge and heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers who made this event possible!
We’re already planning to do it again next year, and to invite the community all over again – Sunday July 7, 2019. Yahoo!
